Hair Follicle & Oral FluidWhile urine collection is the most common method, we offer specialized collections for different detection windows and convenience.
- Detection Window: Provides a long-term history of drug use, typically detecting drug use for up to 90 days prior to the test.
- Collection Method: A small sample of hair (about the diameter of a pencil and 1.5 inches long) is cut close to the scalp. This method is discreet and eliminates the possibility of adulteration or substitution often associated with urine samples.
- Why Choose Hair Testing?
Highly accurate for long-term history.
Eliminates "cheating" by the donor.
Preferred for pre-employment screening where a long look-back period is desired.
Note: If the donor has no head hair, body hair can be used.
Detection Window: Excellent for detecting recent drug use, typically within the past 24–48 hours.
Collection Method: A swab is used to collect a sample of saliva from the inside of the mouth under direct supervision. The process is non-invasive and takes only a few minutes.
Why Choose Oral Fluid Testing?
Ideal for reasonable suspicion and post-accident testing, as it detects recent impairment.
Collection is always observed, virtually eliminating tampering.
It is less invasive than urine testing and easy to administer on-site.
